Child Rights

Started in 1997 with UNICEF the partnership continued till 2003. It became a movement on child rights and from the intervention area of 4 GPs the spill over area could reach to 39 GPs with more than 135 villages. Nature’s Club was the first organization to popularize child rights and UNCRC in Kendrapara district and is considered as one of the key organizations working on child rights in Odisha.

Child Centric Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation

With much experience on disaster response, Community based disaster preparedness, post disaster rehabilitation, Child centric Disaster Risk Reduction and knowledge base on climate change, Nature’s Club is considered as one of the expert CSO on DRR and CCA in Odisha.

Environment & Ecology

Nature’s Club started its work on environment, mangrove and wildlife conservation. One of the leading organizations in the coastal Odisha on Environment & Ecology. Member of Bhitarkanika Ecotourism & Eco-development Society (BEES).

Green Energy

Solar lantern project in 22 non-electrified villages, Solar mobile charging stations in 27 villages with TERI; mobilized Integrated Domestic Energy system (IDES) in 200 HHs; mobilized Improvised cook stoves in 600 HHs along with demonstrations.

Appropriate Agriculture and climate change adaptation

Post disaster contingency crop planning and demonstration; Community led Agro Information and Service Centres in 9 places; BGREI implementation; popularized line sowing and Hybrid paddy through demonstration; Seed treatment training.

Water, Sanitation & Hygiene

District Coordinating agency in Kendrapara district managed 64 NGOs and CBOs. Innovations like Community bathroom and child friendly school toilets are replicated by UNICEF and other agencies in their regular program. Led massive campaign on IHL in Kendrapara district.


Emphasized girl child education; Joyful learning pilot program in 4 GPs of Kendrapara district with 79 teachers; Advocated for Education in Emergency; Currently working with 40 AWCs and 40 Schools on improvement of level of learning of children in Kendrapara district.

Health & RCH

Help reduced crude birth numbers from 531 live births in 2007-08 to 441 live births in 2009-10 in two moist inaccessible sub-centre areas in Kendrapara district. Vulnerable group project. ASHA Training. Health camps; Cataract operation camps; Diarrhoea outbreak management; special immunization camps are other activities.


Project Anand – a care and support program for Children infected and affected by HIV & AIDS involved 42 families in Kendrapara district living with HIV. Targeted Intervention project with core population supported by OSACS.
